How to approach XAT
- Decision Making is unique to XAT. Choose the option that solves the problem fairly for everyone involved and can actually be carried out, not the most idealistic or the harshest.
- There is no time limit for each section, so plan your 170 minutes in advance, for example 50 for Decision Making, 55 for Verbal and 65 for Quant.
- Leaving questions also costs marks after the first 8. Read every question once, and attempt it if you can rule out even one or two options.
- Verbal passages are dense. Keep up daily reading of editorials and long-form articles.
- Quant and DI questions are long; pick the ones you can set up quickly and come back to the rest.
