Privacy policy
Last updated 1 November 2026. This policy covers targetcampus.com and all its sections: MBA entrance (CAT, OMETs), placements and placement practice, IPM and the career test.
Who we are
Target Campus is run by Dr. Kiran Derle. For any question about your data, or to use any of your rights, write to thetargetcampus@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Our online courses are sold and delivered on targetcampus.in, a separate platform with its own privacy policy.
Summary
- You can use the free practice pages without an account.
- We count visits with a random ID kept in your browser. We do not store your IP address with these counts.
- We use the Meta Pixel for advertising on the MBA, placement and career-test pages only. It is not used on IPM pages or the home page.
- We never sell your personal data.
What we collect and why
| When | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|

| Signing in (Google or an email link) | Name, email address and profile photo from your Google account or the email you enter; your display name and badges | To run your account and show your name on your posts |
| Community and discussions | Posts, comments, votes and reports you make | To show the discussion; posts and comments are public |
| Enquiry form | Name, phone number, email, the course you are interested in, your message and the page you sent it from | To reply to your enquiry |
| Battles | The name and city you enter, your score, time and answers | To run the battle and the leaderboards; your name, city and score are shown to other players |
| Page ratings | Your star rating and any reason or comment you add, with the random browser ID | To improve questions; average ratings may be shown on the page and to search engines |
| Career test | The student's name, email, city, school (optional), a parent's mobile number and the test answers | To create and email the career report and offer career guidance. A parent or guardian's consent is confirmed first |
| Payments (career test) | Payment status, amount and payment ID from Razorpay | To confirm the payment. We never see card, UPI or bank details |
Information kept in your browser
Some things are saved only in your own browser (local storage) and are never sent to us: which questions you have attempted, your timed-practice results, and site preferences. A random visitor ID is also kept there for visit statistics, battles and ratings. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of this.
Advertising (Meta Pixel)
We use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) on the MBA entrance pages (targetcampus.com/mba), the placement pages (targetcampus.com/placements) and the career test. It tells Meta which of these pages were visited and certain steps, such as opening a practice page, sending an enquiry, creating an account, or starting, submitting and paying for the career test. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account, and we use it to measure our ads and to show ads to people who visited the site or are similar to them.
When a career report is paid for, we may also send Meta the payment amount with a one-way coded (hashed) form of the email address and phone number, so that Meta can match the purchase to an ad. Test answers, reports, community posts and enquiry messages are never shared with Meta.
We do not use the Meta Pixel on IPM preparation pages or the home page, which many school students visit. You can limit this kind of advertising in your Meta ad preferences, and ad blockers or your browser's privacy settings can block the pixel.
Services we use
We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, and only what they need:
- Database and sign-in provider: stores accounts, posts, enquiries, battles, ratings, visit counts and career test submissions on secure servers.
- Website hosting provider: serves the website. Like any web host, its servers may briefly log technical details such as IP addresses for security.
- Google: sign-in with Google, and web fonts.
- Meta Platforms: advertising measurement, as described above.
- Razorpay: payments for the career test.
- YouTube: video solutions open only when you choose to play them, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Children
Many of our IPM and career-test users are under 18. For the career test, a parent or guardian's consent is confirmed before the test is submitted. We do not use advertising tracking on IPM pages. If you are a parent and believe your child has given us personal data without your consent, write to us and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
- Visit statistics: about 13 months, then deleted automatically.
- Accounts, posts and comments: until you ask us to delete them, or the account is removed.
- Enquiries, battle results, ratings and career test submissions: as long as they are useful for the purpose above, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, or close your account;
- withdraw consent you have given (this does not affect anything done before);
- nominate someone to act for you if you are unable to.
Email thetargetcampus@gmail.com from the address linked to your data. You can also raise a grievance with us at the same address, and, if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls, so only the site's administrators can see personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
