Wipro Elite NLTH: test pattern, eligibility and selection rounds
Wipro Elite National Talent Hunt (NLTH/NTH) is Wipro's main hiring route for engineering freshers. It has an online test (aptitude, an essay and coding), followed by a technical interview and an HR interview. To be eligible you usually need at least 60% in Class 10, Class 12 and your degree, each separately, and no active backlogs.
Companies do not publish an official, fixed test pattern, and it can change from drive to drive. The pattern below is the one reported by students in recent drives. Your test invitation is the final word.
Wipro NLTH: reported pattern
| Section | Questions | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Aptitude (Quant, Logical, Verbal) | about 36 (about 12 each) | 48 minutes |
| Written Communication (essay) | 1 | 20 minutes |
| Coding | 2 problems | 60 minutes |
Some drives use a shorter format with only aptitude and the essay. Most reports say there is no negative marking in aptitude. Coding can be done in C, C++, Java or Python.
Eligibility (commonly reported)
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Degree | B.E. or B.Tech (some drives also take M.E., M.Tech, MCA or M.Sc CS/IT) |
| Marks | 60% (or 6.0 CGPA) in Class 10, Class 12 and degree, each one |
| Backlogs | No active backlog at the time of applying |
| Gap | Usually up to one year in total |
Section by section
- Quant: percentages, ratio, time and work, speed, profit and loss, probability and permutations.
- Logical: series, coding-decoding, blood relations, directions, seating and syllogisms.
- Verbal: synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion, error spotting and reading comprehension.
- Essay: a general topic in about 200 to 300 words. Write an introduction, two or three clear points and a conclusion. Grammar and structure matter more than fancy words.
- Coding: two problems of easy to medium level (arrays, strings, number logic). Partial marks are given for test cases passed, so submit even an incomplete solution.
Interviews
The technical interview covers one programming language, data structures, OOP, DBMS and your project. The HR round checks communication, relocation and your interest in Wipro.
Preparation plan (three weeks)
- Week 1: aptitude basics, 30 questions a day; one essay every two days.
- Week 2: coding practice daily (two problems), and timed aptitude sets.
- Week 3: two full mock tests, then interview preparation.
