IBSAT 2026: eight test dates, 140 questions and next-day results
IBSAT is the entrance test for the two-year MBA and PGPM at the nine campuses of ICFAI Business School (IBS), including IBS Hyderabad. IBSAT 2026 is held on eight dates across four December weekends: 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 December 2026, in a morning (11 am) or afternoon (3 pm) slot. Results come out right after each weekend.
The test is online and remotely proctored, with 140 questions in 2 hours across four sections. The syllabus is similar to CAT, but the questions are generally easier and speed matters more.

140 questions in 120 minutes is about 50 seconds per question. Most students do the verbal questions fastest, which buys time for data interpretation.
Booking your slot
Log in at ibsat.org with the application number and password sent to your email, choose Schedule IBSAT, and pick a date and slot. Seats for each date and slot are limited, so book early. Because the test is remote, check your laptop, webcam and internet connection the day before, and use a quiet room.
After the test
IBS shortlists candidates for a centralised selection process in February 2027 at its Hyderabad campus, with briefings in major cities in January. Scholarship decisions are announced with results.

- Take two or three timed mocks with 140 questions to get used to the speed.
- Vocabulary carries real weight here; revise 20 words a day.
- Learn data sufficiency rules thoroughly: they are quick marks once understood.
