SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) for BBA: pattern, attempts and tips
SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) is the entrance test for undergraduate programmes at Symbiosis International University, including the BBA at its institutes. It has 60 questions in 60 minutes, one mark each, and no negative marking. You can take the test up to two times (across SET and SITEEE), and the higher score is used.
In 2026 the test was held on 2 May and 10 May, from 9 to 10 am. The 2027 dates are not announced yet at the time of writing; registration usually opens early in the year on set-test.org.

All sections must be attempted. One minute per question means SET is about speed and calm, not difficult concepts.
How to prepare
- General English: grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction and short reading passages.
- Quantitative: Class 10 level arithmetic and algebra; practise mental calculation.
- General Awareness: current affairs of the last 6 to 8 months plus basic static GK (capitals, awards, organisations, books and authors). This section is where many students lose easy marks, so read news daily.
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning: series, coding-decoding, arrangements and syllogisms.
After the test
Each Symbiosis institute runs its own next round (such as a written ability test and a personal interaction) and publishes its own merit list. Read the admission page of each institute you choose.
Tips for the two attempts
- Take the first test date if you can. It shows you the real pace.
- Note where you ran out of time and practise that section for the next attempt.
- Answer every question: there is no penalty for a wrong answer.
