JIPMAT: the entrance test for IPM at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya
JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test) is the entrance test for the five-year Integrated Programme in Management at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The test has 100 multiple-choice questions in 150 minutes, marked +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one.
In 2026, registration ran from 16 April to 10 May and the test was held on 7 June 2026. The 2027 dates are not announced yet at the time of writing; expect a similar spring timeline on exams.nta.ac.in/JIPMAT.

The level is moderate, similar to Class 10 maths and basic reasoning. With 90 seconds per question, there is time to work carefully, so accuracy is the key.
How to prepare
- Quant: arithmetic (percentages, profit and loss, ratio, time and work, speed), algebra and geometry at Class 10 level.
- DI and LR: tables and charts, arrangements, series, coding and puzzles.
- Verbal and RC: reading passages, grammar, vocabulary and sentence arrangement.
Because a wrong answer costs a mark, answer only when you can eliminate at least two options.

- The 60% rule applies to both Class 10 and Class 12.
- Seats and fees differ between IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya; read both institutes' admission pages.
